We are committed to protecting your privacy. This document outlines how Barcode Reader pro handles your information. Our application is designed to be offline-first, private, and secure, ensuring that your scanned and generated data remains entirely under your personal control.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Offline Operation: Barcode Reader pro does not transmit your scanned or generated barcodes to external servers. All operations, history storage, and personalization are performed completely on your local device.

Device Permissions Utilized:

• Camera Permission: Required to scan barcodes and QR codes live. The app processes the camera stream in real-time to detect codes; no video or imagery is ever uploaded, shared, or saved outside your choice.
• Storage/Photo Library Access: Used exclusively when you choose to import an image from your gallery to scan a barcode from it, or when you explicitly select to export and save a generated QR code image to your device storage.

3. Third-Party Advertising and Analytics

To support the development and maintenance of this application, we integrate the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device information to serve relevant, high-quality advertisements:

• Advertising Identifiers: Anonymous mobile device advertising IDs (e.g., Android Ad ID).
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and system language.
• Ad Interactions: Coarse interaction metrics with displayed banners and interstitial ads.

This data is collected directly by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can manage personalized ad settings within your device operating system settings.

4. Data Security and Integrity

Since your scan history, custom styled barcodes, and settings are saved locally inside an isolated SQLite database on your device, the security of this data is determined by your mobile device's built-in operating system security protocols. We implement industry-standard practices to manage our native code layers securely.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the date at the top of the policy. You are advised to review this page periodically for any updates.
